Quiet, careful work on the numbers behind your business.

We are a small accounting and tax services practice in Kuta. We work month-to-month with hospitality operators, F&B groups, and foreign-owned companies who would rather know their numbers than wonder about them.

A small team, a long view, a deep bench in Indonesian tax.

Kastera Konsultama was founded in 2019 by two practitioners who had spent the prior decade at mid-tier firms in Jakarta and Singapore, and grew tired of watching small business owners be passed between junior staff each quarter. We keep our roster intentionally small — fewer than thirty active clients — so the partner who signs your engagement letter is the one reviewing your books in month eleven. Our work is unspectacular by design: clean books, on-time filings, quiet phone calls before things become problems.

Andini Pranatha Wisesa

Managing Partner · CA, M.Ak.

Andini led the SME audit desk at a Jakarta mid-tier firm before moving to Bali in 2018. She handles engagement scoping, audit preparation, and most of the harder conversations with the tax office. Twelve years in practice, ICAEW-aligned, fluent in Indonesian, English, and the kind of patience required for a Friday-afternoon DJP visit.

Three lines of work, no upsells.

We offer the things a small firm should be excellent at, and we decline the things we would only be average at. If you need litigation support, M&A diligence, or full statutory audit, we will introduce you to a partner firm and stay involved as your day-to-day team.

Bookkeeping & Journal Entries

Cloud-based monthly bookkeeping in Xero or Accurate, reconciled to the rupiah. Multi-currency journals where your business actually receives USD or EUR. Closing packs by the 12th of the following month, every month.

  • Bank, e-wallet, and merchant reconciliation
  • Multi-entity consolidation in IDR / USD
  • Monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow pack

Tax Compliance

Statutory tax filings handled end-to-end, with a clear monthly checklist of what we need from you and when. We file through Coretax / DJP Online and keep an audit trail of every submission.

  • SPT — monthly and annual returns, individual & corporate
  • PPh — withholding (21/23/4(2)/26) and corporate income tax
  • PPN — VAT registration, monthly returns, and credit notes

Advisory

Quarterly conversations with your partner about what the numbers actually mean — pricing, working capital, drawings versus salary, the trade-off between an extra villa and an extra accountant.

  • Cash-flow forecasting, 13-week rolling
  • Owner remuneration & dividend planning
  • PMA structuring & inbound investment review

We moved to Kastera in our third year of operation, after two firms that mostly returned our calls late. The handover took eight weeks and was painful in exactly the way Andini said it would be. Three years on, our books close on the twelfth, our SPT is filed before the deadline, and I no longer dread Tuesdays.

Tell us a little about your business.

A short message is enough — entity type, roughly how many transactions a month, and whether you already have an accountant. We respond within one working day, almost always with a real human.

Questions we get most weeks.

If yours is not here, write to us. We answer specific questions with specific answers — not pamphlets.

What does a typical monthly engagement cost?

Most of our clients sit between IDR 6,500,000 and IDR 18,500,000 per month, all-in. The driver is transaction volume, number of entities, and whether you are PKP. We send a fixed-fee quote after the first call so there are no per-email surprises.

We are a foreign-owned PMA — can you handle our compliance end-to-end?

Yes. About 60% of our roster is PMA-owned, mostly in hospitality and F&B. We handle BKPM LKPM reporting, monthly PPh 26 on dividends and royalties where relevant, and the annual SPT for the entity. Notarial and visa work we hand off to a partner firm we have used for six years.

Do you file individual SPT for expat directors and shareholders?

Yes, where the individual is an Indonesian tax resident. We typically include the partner / director SPT in the engagement at no additional fee for active clients; for spouses or non-active shareholders we charge a flat IDR 3,200,000 per filing.

How does onboarding actually work?

Four to eight weeks. Week one we sign the engagement letter and collect last-period documents. Weeks two and three we rebuild your trial balance, reconcile to bank, and identify any open compliance items. By week five you receive a clean closing pack and a calendar of recurring filings. We do not begin monthly billing until the books are caught up.

Are you available in person, or is this a remote engagement?

Both. Our office is in Sunset Road, Kuta and we welcome quarterly review meetings in person. Most operational work — document upload, queries, monthly reviews — runs through Xero, email, and a shared drive. We are comfortable working with founders based outside Indonesia.

What documents do you need to give a quote?

Your akta pendirian, NPWP and NIB, last year's SPT (badan and / or individual), and a recent monthly bank statement. From those four items we can size the engagement within two business days. If you do not have an SPT yet, that is also useful information — we have helped fourteen companies file their first.

Will I work with the same person every month?

Yes. Each engagement has a partner-in-charge and a senior associate, and they stay with you. We have had two staff departures in seven years; in both cases the partner-in-charge personally handled the transition. You will not be reassigned at the start of every fiscal year.
